He's grateful that it's not too overwhelming before they let him go and also that he doesn't have to awkwardly inquire about where he can stay. It's going to be an adjustment to stay here in the sense that he's usually much more of a loner, but he doesn't mind having people around, he's just not used to it.
Still, he finds that he's grateful it's Bruno that ends up leading him to his room. There's something calming about the man, moreso than the rest of his family, at least to Avery, who's not used to volume, if nothing else. He's turning to give a gentle sort of smile to Bruno and maybe ask if it's always like this when he notices that he's having one of those flare ups again. He steadies him with a warm hand on his shoulder (which... might not actually help with the steadying, actually, considering) and looks concerned when he looks back,
"Are you alright?" it's only then that it clicks for him what a surge of magic like that might mean, "Is that what it's like when you see something from the future?" Luckily for the moment, he's more fascinated by the answer to that question than about the rest of Bruno's reaction.
